Running from 2001 to 2010, the IFLA/FAIFE World Report Series was comprised of two publications, the World Report, published bi-annually, and the Theme Report, published in alternate years. The series reported on the state of the world in terms of freedom of access to information, freedom of expression and related issues. From 2010, the World Report was presented as a web application.

Each year’s publication was launched at the annual IFLA World Library and Information Congress.
