As a highlight of IFLA’s participation at the Forum, is the inclusion of access to information and culture in the text of the Civil Society declaration read in the afternoon of the same day.

The announcement of four new senior appointments in key sectors – in education, culture and communications and information, as well as a new Deputy Director-General – is therefore a useful opportunity to reaffirm these relationships.
