The IFLA Information Literacy Section (ILS) announces its Open Session at the IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) in Rotterdam, Netherlands, August 21-25, 2023.
The IFLA Information Literacy Section (ILS) is thrilled to have the opportunity to organize the satellite meeting at the Delft University of Technology Library in Delft, Netherlands. We deeply appreciate their hospitality and generosity in providing their state-of-the-art facilities and extraordinary staff support as well as making this event with free registration.

The people of Sudan face an increasingly perilous situation following the outbreak of civil armed conflict in April 2023. Our primary concerns are humanitarian, and we call for solidarity with the people of Sudan, including its library and information workers – those still in the country and those who have been forced to flee.
Can libraries afford to wait for others to fix the world while toxic waste, climate change and pollution harm our environment? How much of a difference can we make anyway? This webinar aims to raise ambitions for greener library buildings, provide examples of how library services can lead by example as sustainably managed organisations and highlight the opportunities to work in partnership with users to work together and move towards a smarter, sustainable world.
