Protecting Our Sound and Audiovisual Heritage: a Brief History of Audio Recording
The IFLA PAC regional center at Qatar National Library is organising this session to discuss the history of audio recording formats, from the 1857 phonautograph to 21st-century digital formats.
The discussion will include the most common audio carriers in the Middle East, with particular attention to the commercial music industry and radio in the region. The session will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams.
