Sustainable Reading at Every Age and Stage – Libraries Beside You All the Way

 

This three-day event will explore research and effective practices for sustaining readers across the lifespan, with a special focus on the Sustainable Development Goals. Participants will come away with new ideas for engaging readers of all ages in sustainability practices through a variety of formats. Topics include early literacy, school-age programs, teen readers, citizen science, reading in the digital age, graphic novels, and misinformation.

 

Overview of Activities

  • Friday, 27 September – Afternoon tour of the Ipswich Children’s Library
  • Saturday, 28 September – Full-day seminar at Brisbane City Library
  • Sunday, 29 September – Morning seminar at Brisbane City Library, followed by optional social lunch
