WLIC joint session with Health and Biosciences Libraries Section

Library and information technology professionals play critical roles in the open science and open access movements and facilitate artificial intelligence technologies in systems of discovery. They support the lifecycle for research data by providing services for storage, discovery, and access; develop data catalogues or repositories to further reproducibility; and negotiate for and curate open access information. We want to hear from librarians and information technologists in libraries who have clearly defined roles in furthering open access to information and data, have developed a plan or project in which they play a vital role in education and/or the application of artificial intelligence or other technology around open information, and ways in which they get data, build on it, or share it.
