IFLA LGBTQ Users SIG CFP 2017: Intersectionality

    For IFLA WLIC 2017 (19-25 Aug 2017) we’ve chosen intersectionality as the theme of our program. The LGBTQ Users SIG seeks submissions from scholars and practitioners that address the ways in which libraries can provide access to information relating to LGBTQ+ lives as they intersect with the lived experiences of other identities.

    Presenting the IFLA Wikipedia Opportunities Papers

      Over the past year, Librarians and Wikipedians have been working together to showcase the many successful collaborations between libraries and Wikipedia. Starting with the first Wikipedia #1lib1ref campaign, we developed Opportunities papers which highlight the many ways libraries and Wikipedia are already engaging to verify information and make it accessible.

      Don’t Go Back on the Deal – IFLA, EIFL and EBLIDA call on EU Member States to Deliver on Marrakesh Treaty Ratification

        On Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th January, representatives of European governments will discuss draft legislation to implement the Marrakesh Treaty in the European Union (EU). IFLA, alongside EBLIDA and EIFL, calls on Member States to reject amendments that would undermine its potential to help people with print disabilities.
