Description
The project focus is primarily on digitization of the India Office Records in the archives of the British Library that relate to Gulf History with extended metadata and contextual articles on these topics. Additional elements include Manuscripts, Maps and Music related to the region.
Through such partnership projects Qatar National Library (QNL) aims to develop itself as the Centre of a global network for the history of Qatar and the Gulf and act as a steward of Qatar’s national heritage by collecting, preserving and making available the country’s recorded history.
