Access to reliable health information for all is vital to achieve the health-related SDGs. However, the Covid-19 pandemic has clearly demonstrated pervasive threats related to misinformation, disinformation, fake news, and other health information challenges. Experience over the past 20 years with vaccine hesitancy, Ebola and now COVID-19 show that misinformation is a huge and growing problem. If this issue is not urgently addressed the misinformation associated with the next public health emergency will be even worse than that seen with Covid-19. Read More
