The biggest event on in the annual SDG calendar, the High-Level Political Forum is an opportunity for taking stock of progress towards the goals of the United Nation’s (UN) 2030 Agenda, sharing innovations, and identifying priorities. IFLA will have a delegation made up of librarians from every world region, sharing stories of how libraries deliver development, and engaging with governments.

This year’s Forum has the theme: Reinforcing the 2030 Agenda and eradicating poverty in times of multiple crises: the effective delivery of sustainable, resilient and innovative solutions.

Thanks to support from SIGL, IFLA will once again be present, with the following colleagues representing libraries to governments, international agencies and other stakeholders:

  • Saif Al Jabri (Oman)
  • Kepi Madumo (South Africa)
  • Alejandro Santa (Argentina)
  • Namutenya Hamwaalwa (Namibia)
  • Maia Simonishvili (Georgia)
  • Loida Garcia Febo (US)
  • Julius Jefferson (US)
