Discussions by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) Standing Committee on Copyright & Related Rights (SCCR) broke down in the early hours of Saturday morning 3 May, after the European Union (EU) attempted to block future discussion of copyright laws to aid libraries and archives fulfill their missions in the digital environment.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in collaboration with the Government Information and Official Publications section of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) will organize the second international conference of the series titled International Conference on the Convergence of Libraries, Archives and Museums (ICLAM) from 27th to 29th November, 2014 at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), New Delhi. As in the past, ICLAM will again offer the library professionals an opportunity to exchange ideas with professionals from archives, museums and various other domains.
